A cobblestone smokehouse appears to have been constructed c. 1900, since its hardware was cast by the Gold Coin Stove Company, active during that period; it remains in a good state of preservation.
While researching another topic (Albany architecture firm of Nichols & Brown), the following research report on "Kenwood" estate near Albany, popped up via google. See page 16 - paragraph with citation of a c. 1900 cobblestone smokehouse - still extant. Photo of the smokehouse is on page 17. Likely a building to enter under "faux cobblestone?" [in the Cobblestone Info Base].

A massive 2023 fire mostly destroyed the main building (former convent/later school) - here's article about that: Preserve Kenwood. No mention of the cobblestone smokehouse. Cynthia Howk email 4/27/2025.
